FAQFrequently asked questions about the ski school

Is the ski pass included in the ski course?

No. Ski passes are sold separately. You can find the ski pass prices at: www.skiliftkarussell.de. Beginners do not need a ski pass on the first day of the course!

Can our children be in a group together?

The children are divided primarily according to driving ability and age. If your children or friends are similarly good skiers, we ask you to inform the staff in the ski school office on the first day that they would like to take a course together - we will try to take your wishes into account in the planning.

Do the ski courses of parents and children run parallel?

We try to plan the courses in such a way that the course times run parallel - but we cannot guarantee this.

How are the groups divided up?

Most of our guests are beginners - guests who have never, once or for a long time not been on skis. Groups are divided up after an oral questioning on driving ability, age and language.

Can you get the money back if the kids don't like it?

As a matter of principle, we only refund money if a medical certificate (illness, injury) is available.

Is there also a ski rental at the ski school?

Yes, the ski school is located directly next to the valley station of the Poppenberg ski lift. From there it is only 50 meters walk to the ski rental shop Poppenberg. This is located directly at parking lot 7 of the ski lift carousel in Winterberg.

Can I change to another course if I don't like the course? (e.g. from snowboard to ski course)

You can check with the ski school office for available options. We will check if there are any free places in other courses. Please note that we cannot guarantee this.

Is it possible to join a course in the middle of the week?

The groups start on Saturdays and Tuesdays. It is however possible for advanced students to join an existing group during the week.

At what age can children attend a course?

From 5 years on children can take part in a ski course. For snowboard courses we recommend a minimum age of 10 years, but on special request it is also possible for younger children to attend a snowboard course.

Do you have Dutch teachers?

Yes, our team also includes Dutch teachers.

Do the ski course days have to be taken one after the other?

Yes, the training days should be taken consecutively as the groups continue with the program and learn something new every day. If the course days cannot be taken consecutively, you must discuss this in advance at the ski school office.

Is it possible to pay by credit card?

We take EC card (Maestro) and cash. No credit cards!

Is it also possible to attend a group course for just one day?

We recommend that you attend group courses for at least two days. The program of the group course is structured for the whole week. For beginners we recommend a participation of at least three days to learn the basics.

Can I book a ski course?

A reservation is only possible for guests of the Landal GreenPark Winterberg. All other guests can only book a course directly on site.
